
This is the last post about the NTT DoCoMo speaker at TieCon 2007.
He shared with the group the mission statement for the i-mode phone and NTT DoCoMo mobile phones.
1. Fun and Convenience for the end user - NOT only provide technology and network speed.
2. i-mode ecosystem - users, content providers and operators totally integrated. Ecosystems is a buzz word this weekend it seems, wanting the user to think the product is environmentally friendly...not the meaning in this context, however

3. Don't miss opportunities - create products that transcend 'standards' and 'cultural differences.'
4. Target ordinary people - NOT the elite, the rich, the techy engineers.
In the end SHOWING RESULTS IS EVERYTHING.
In nine months, NTT's i-mode subscribed 2.5 million users to its cell phone credit card system. That's results.
