7 Countries Japan has Gone to War Against
Japan fought against the Allied forces and got beat in WWII. We know that. But, MANY young Japanese don't know that.
We wonder what it is that Japanese young people learn, or in this case, what ELSE they don't learn in school.
What other countries has Japan gone to war against?
1. In the 7th century Japan fought against China and the Korean Kingdom of Silla.
2. In the 13th century Japan fought against the Mongols.
3. In the late 19th century Japan fought China again on the Korean peninsula and won leading to Korea's independence from Chinese sovereignty. But…Russia disagreed and moved southward to occupy parts of Manchuria and spark the Russo-Japanese War of 1904. Japan won.
4. Japan started the Pacific War in 1941 against the allied forces of the United States, Great Britain and the Netherlands.
Japan, by constitution, is no longer bent on war or expansion. There are, however, nationalists who would like to rekindle that fire.
