There is a reason why there are next to no guns in Japan...except for policemen and yakuza babies.
A shooting contest organized by a local gun shop was being held in Ichihara, Chiba when one man with 40 years of shooting experience, and apparently not enough experience removing shells, shot three people when he accidentally pulled the trigger.![]()
The three men who took the pellets were aged 36 to 68 and were only sligthly injured...IF...you can call being hit by pellets from a shot gun being only 'slightly injured.'
Still, it becomes obvious why Japan is or at least wants to be the gunless society it is.
When experienced shooters are taking accidental shots at one another, what would happen if someone who did NOT know what they were doing got a hold of a gun?
Maybe they need some lessons from me.

I have no problem with people having guns... as long as those people are women.
The average man cannot accurately target a urinal from a distance of more than a couple inches. Now, if we can't trust someone, who has been practicing peeing into porcelain for most of his life, to hit a urinal at short range with two hands in control, why in the world should we give him a deadly firearm, sometimes aimed with only one hand, and trust that he'll hit the right target when he fires it?
