At any rate, I found everyone in Japan denouncing guns and their freedom of use in the United States.
A debate was set up and they could find nobody to take the pro-gun side.
At the time I didn't particularly care one way or the other, so I volunteered for the pro-gun side just for the fun of it...and, as I said, because no one else would take it.
The right to defend ourselves, people kill people, guns don't kill people, decreased crime...and so on. I beat 4-5 people on the other side by myself.
The Virginia governor is visiting Japan and is being peppered with questions about campus security and how authorities handled the deadly shooting rampage.
It's too early to draw conclusions is what he said. Of course, there will be a lot of finger pointing...and don't forget the lawsuits.
In the debate I mentioned, the Japanese made a point about guns being able to kill a lot of people quite quickly.
At the time there was an incident that occured in Wakayama-ken. There was a curry making contest. One contestant put poison in a rival's curry and killed off a dozen or more people.
A lot of people can be killed by curry quite quickly, too.
Guns don't kill people. People kill people.
