Licca-chan will turn 40 in July of this year.
In anticipation of the event, Tomy plans to unveil its Licca World Tour Series this month. 
Licca-chan will strut her stuff by dressing up in costumes based on themes from various countries and pop-up books.
Licca-chan is Japan's answer to the United States' Barbie, who by the way didn't make it in Japan at first because her boobs were too big....so they say.
Licca-chan made 5 billion yen in 1976 for Tomy toymakers. In the past 10-years...she makes about 2 billion annually.
I guess girls start losigng their outward beauty appeal somewhere around forty and Licca-chan is no exception.
Licca-chan is actually a perpetual 11-year old.
And Tomy still thinks she has some more money to make for the company.
