One of my favorite regular reads is China Confidential...intelligent, insightful and frontline.
Today he writes about one topic that is of interest to me in two regards - it's about China and Japan.
According to CC, Japan's Fujitsu Ltd is taking a serious beating in the Chinese chat rooms.
That is nothing new considering the Chinese will attack Japan for any reason whether they can think of a good one or not.![]()
A popular Chinese forum that my wife reads has people blasting China for buying bullet-trains from Japan.
"If we can't build it ourselves, we don't need it. Stop buying from the J....!"
However, what is particularly interesting in the Fujitsu attack is that CC thinks "government operatives directed by ruling Communist Party factions" may be behind the attack.
Chinese chatters are all over the NYSE and TSE tie up announcement and the fact that Fujitsu was offered the $300 million to build the new trading system.
Is that really a topic of everyday chat by young boys hopelessly lost in gaming? And little girls pecking away on their mobile phones?
Do business types have the time to devote to chat rooms to jump in on this attack? Suspicious....
Global computer crashes, British labor connections.
Wartime slaves, sexual slaves, ties with Hitler...(these stories are 60 years old) are being recirculated.
China Confidential gives a much more detailed account if further reading is desired.
One thing is for certain...the Chinese will still hate Japan any chance they can get. Let'shope it stas confined to the chat rooms.
