A Japanese comedian filming a scene on the island of Hainan in China for the Osaka-based Asahi Broadcasting Corp. thought it might be funny to drop his drawers, show his backside, moon Chinese tourists as the Moon (Lunar) New Year approaches.
Chinese authorities didn't think it was funny at all.
The 47-year old was issued a stern warning after being questioned by local police officials.
The scene was deleted from the recording and the comedian issued an apology
the next day.
The comedian said he received the go-ahead from a Chinese coordinator who was present.
Humor...indeed...is not the same in every country.
The joke was almost on this funny man.
He, no doubt, is happy to be back in Japan.
