The IT spook told her counterpart that she hacked national security by going through wires in the sewage system. Yea, right.

Now, Pioneer Corp. has pioneered a new way for a speaker system to allow listeners to hear music....just plug it in.

The new speaker system is the first consumer electronics product with built-in power line communications connectivity.

The base unit has terminals for connecting stereos, portable music players and a computer.pioneer.speakers.jpg

Music is transmitted via the house's power lines. Nifty, eh?

The price is about 68,000, including one large and one small speaker.

So, can I put my stereo in the other room, and plug my speakers anywhere else in the house that I want? Seems so.

Next up, monitors that can display DVDs from a base unit anywhere they are plugged in.

I wonder if the house has to be an individual unit. What about an apartment or condominium complex?
