Fujiya has been using ingredients past their expiration dates for more several years....and instead of looking at a seven day suspension of selling products...they are looking at 20 or even going under.
Aeon sells 2 billion yen worth of Fujiya products.
Seven % I has taken all Fujiya products off of its shelves at 12,000 Seven-Eleven Japan stores and Ito-Yokado stores.
Lawson Inc., a popular convenience store, Daiei Inc and Seiyu Ltd. supermarkets have followed suit.
Fujiya will lose sales plus be forced to pay 300 million yen in compensation to franchise-operated stores.
The president is talking about selling off fixed assets - its Tokyo Ginza headquarters, or unloading its strong-performing ice cream division.
I reckon the company can also expect a bus load of law suits from people who have been eating their products with expired ingredients as well.
The future definitely will not be sweet for Fujiya.
What do you think?

That's pretty bad, but I don't think I can stop eating Milky candies and such >_
