70% of workers welcome hostile takeovers
The Nomura research institute surveyed workers at publicly traded and unlisted companies to get their take on Mergers & Acquisitions.

As many as 73% of employees who have experienced a merger and acquisition said they would welcome a hostile takeover.

Two reasons were cited:

1. new blood in management

2. the inability to survive independentlyhostile.takeover.jpg

45% of the same group see their companies as potential targets for takeovers (wishful thinking?).

I wonder if these workers would be so anxious to be taken over if they knew that the new firms were going to bring in their own rank and file employees.

If they don't like their bosses and think they can't make it...perhaps they should buckle down, work harder and climb the ranks to be their own bosses.

The grass is NOT always greener on the other side...is it?

What do you think?
