Mitsubishi Corporation and Riken Technos Corporation have agreed to build a new 57,802 square foot facility to be home to Riken Elastomers Corporation in Hopkinsville, KY.
Riken will produce high-quality thermoplastic elastomer compounds which are used in the automobile industry.
Toyota Motors and Honda Motors will be happy to have them nearby, to be sure.
Also happy is Kentucky. The plant will initially create 24 jobs from an investment of $19.8 million.
This is in addition to the 145 Japanese companies that already employ more than 67,200 Kentuckians.
From time to time, I see signs or read ads of how Toyota makes a difference in the daily lives of Americans through products and employment.
Add to the list of Japanese companies that are spreading good will in the US - Riken Technos.
Well, at least Kentucky will be happy.
What do you think?

i guess the plant has to go somewhere, and the bay area, for example, has so much else going on that there might not be enough people to run it, or maybe there would. at least there are more jobs available to us.
