Some big time Japanese business leaders have voiced their oppostion to the repeated visits to Yasukuni Shrine by the Japanese PM.
Yasukuni Shrine is the permanent resting place for some 14 top war criminals. Considering the crimes that were committed we can be sure only their bodies are resting. Their souls are being tormented.
The Chairman of Japan's biggest business lobby - Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren) says the PM should respect public opinion = stay home on August 15th.
The Chairman of Nippon Oil Corporation called for improved relations with China, always strained by the shrine visits.
The Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Kezai Doyukai) echoed the same sentiment = STAY HOME!
Chiming in also is The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
One poll by the Tokyo Newspaper says a whopping 5.5% support the PM's visit while 52.3% say "STAY HOME!"
