
The Aussies are accusing the Japanese of stealing $2 billion worth of tuna over the past 20 years.

Now, the director of Australian Fisheries Management Authority says Japan has killed the tuna stock commercially.
The tuna industry in Australia is a $280 million Australian industry.
Japan is accused of overcatching their annual quota by two to three times its allotment.
The Aussies have suggested putting satellite trackers on Japanese boats so that the boats can be monitored but the Japanese have balked.
Japan imports about 650,000 tons of tuna annually, from the Pacific and Indian Oceans...to the sushi plates all across the country.
At this point, it is hard to tell who is guilty of what...but one can be sure, both countries want as much of that $280 million as they can reel in.
