Two faced - double standard - speaking out of both sides of their mouth.
The UN security council passed a resolution demanding Iran suspend uranium enrichment or face economic sanctions.
Japan agrees, but, they want financial sanctions imposed first and then an oil embargo. Uh, let me see, if there is an oil embargo, won't that have financial repercussions?
Japan has two reasons for not wanting to start off with the oil embargo:
1. There is a Japanese oil firm, Inpex Corp, in the Azaegan Oil field in southwest Iran.
2. Japan gets about 14% of its total oil imports from Iran.
The US response to Japan, one of its best friends, "suck it up, Japan."
That seems appropriate to me.
And Japan wonders why the other five permanent security council members won't let them join the club.
But, then we can be sure those five, Germany, Britain, Russia, China and the US have applied double standards a time or two.
