AT&T and the Japan Network Group (JNG) have come to an agreement to deliver Japanese programs as part of the AT&T U-verse TVSM channel lineup.
Both companies say they are happy to "offer an array of content to best serve our diverse customer base," AT&T...and "offer customers quality news and entertainment programs that showcase the rich Japanese culture," JNG.
What that means is that AT&T hopes to make money off an increased audience and that JNG is happy to have another distibution channel.
But then what's wrong with that? Business is business.
As for me, I think that any avenue that promotes understanding between countries; Canada, the US, Japan or otherwise is a good thing.
I don't watch TV, but if I did, I would want to know more about people and the countries they live in.
It's a good thing to see AT&T and JNG work together.
